This aircraft used to serve with the 206. Guards Fighter Regiment, at Volzskiy AB, in Astrachan Military Region, until 2002, when this unit was disbanded and all of its Su-27s taken over by the 562. Fighter Regiment. In turn, the later unit was re-designated the 3. Guards Fighter Regiment, but it continued the traditions of the 206. and 562. Regiments, and should still use the Dolphin insignia
