Depicted carrying the massive 5.000-litre drop tank (called “boat” by IrAF pilots and ground crews, for its immense size), this IrAF MiG-25RB is otherwise painted and marked the same way like MiG-25PDS(e). Sadly, the insignia of the No.84 Squadron remains unknown: most of former IrAF R/RB-pilots are in hiding and contact to them impossible. The plane was usually carrying two or four FAB-500T bombs under each wing for strike sorties against selected targets in Iran.
