No.27 Tactical Attack Squadron is the latest addition to the arsenal of Pakistan Air Force. Equipped with retrofitted Mirage 5 aircraft, the squadron specializes in night precision strike role. State of the Art avionics add to the lethality of this war proven workhorse to deliver venom and fury precisely deep behind enemy lines. The squadron spearheads the strike potential of the Pakistan Air Force and has performed superbly on various occasions including Armament Meet 07, Fire Power Demo 09 and Operation “Burq”. The Squadron proudly calls itself “ZARRARS”, named after Hazrat Zarrar Bin Al Azwar who was known to be extremely ferocious and to have dueled with thirteen warriors at a time, killing them all. Inspired by this valiant warrior the squadron insignia symbolizes “A CHARGING RIDER WITH DRAWN SWORD”.
